 Apellix drones save lives by eliminating the need for workers to operate at dangerous heights. Our pilots stay safely on the ground, while drones fly to hazardous heights and into toxic environments.

AUTONOMOUS SAFETY FEATURES

Apellix drones are engineered with multiple fully autonomous safety features. Certain models feature obstacle avoidance, front distance hold, collision detection, and automatic landing.

Obstacle avoidance is a feature we engineered that enables the drone to automatically move out of harm’s way if it is on a collision course with a nearby object, such as a tree or building. Front distance hold lets the operator program the exact distance the drone will fly next to a wall. For example, the operator can set the drone to maintain a 3-meter distance from a wall. If a strong gust of wind pushes the drone 4 meters away from the wall, the drone will automatically adjust and return to a 3-meter distance. Collision detection allows the drone to sense potential nearby obstacles. Automatic landing lets the drone land itself in emergency scenarios.

REMOVING WORKERS FROM DANGEROUS HEIGHTS & Toxic Environments

Apellix drones are operated from the ground by trained personnel. Workers no longer need to physically go to high or hard-to-reach locations or enter harmful chemical environments to clean, paint, coat, or inspect structures. Operators control the drone from a safe and stable position below, using intuitive interfaces and remote controls that provide real-time feedback. By deploying advanced robotic technology, Apellix drones operate at elevated locations that would otherwise require human workers to use costly scaffolding, ladders, or suspended platforms. The ground-based operation minimizes the risk of accidents and injuries associated with falls from lifts or scaffolding and exposure to hazardous substances, making Apellix safer than traditional cleaning methods.
